UNBR recently issued a series of guidelines for regulating the services offered by lawyers in terms of hosting registered offices. According to the UNBR Sectoral Regulations on the prevention of money laundering, lawyers from Romanian bars are required to ensure that they do not abuse the legal provision that gives them the right to host, temporarily, for a maximum of one year, the headquarters of the companies they establish.

The exact provision is as follows:

" A lawyer who carries out temporary establishment services for companies at the lawyer's professional headquarters under the terms of Law no. 51/1995 on the organization and exercise of the legal profession, republished, and the Statute of the legal profession, whose frequency exceeds 5 (five) establishment activities calculated during a year, regardless of whether or not there is an identity of the beneficial owner, is obliged to register in the Register of Lawyers Carrying Out Temporary Establishment Activities for Companies, in accordance with the procedure provided for in the Regulation on the Organization and Operation of the Register, approved by the UNBR Council"
